About

What is the CHIETA App?

The Chemical Industries Education & Training Authority (CHIETA) is a statutory body established by the Skills Development Act 97 of 1998. Our purpose is to facilitate skills development in the chemical industries sector and ensure that skills needs are identified and addressed through targeted programmes and initiatives.

Learners

CHIETA offers learnerships and youth programmes to unemployed youth, promoting employability in line with NSDS III objectives in the chemical sector.

Employers

Access discretionary grant funding during open windows. Submit WSP/ATR reports, connect with skilled talent, and manage workplace learning programmes.

Training Providers

Providers must be accredited with an ETQA body under SAQA. CHIETA quality assures training providers and assessors in the chemical sector.
